NL Liberals Maintain Wide Lead Over Other Parties
HALIFAX: The NL Liberals maintain a wide lead over other parties in terms of voting intentions, according to the most recent survey conducted by Corporate Research Associates Inc. Specifically, more than one-half of decided voters back the Liberal Party (56% compared with 60% three months ago), while three in ten support the governing Progressive Conservative Party (31%, compared with 29%). Meanwhile, support for the NDP rests at 13 percent (compared with 10%), while less than one percent prefer either the Green Party (compared with 1%) or the Labrador Party (unchanged). The number of residents who are undecided rests at 23 percent (compared with 24%), while two percent refuse to state a preference (unchanged), and five percent either support none of the parties or do not plan to vote (compared with 4%).
