Moncton residents anticipate positive impact from sports and entertainment centre
HALIFAX, NS May 24, 2017: A large majority of Moncton residents agree that the multi-use sports and entertainment centre currently under construction will have a positive impact on the city’s downtown core, according to the most recent survey conducted by Corporate Research Associates Inc.
Specifically, eight in ten (82%) residents in the Moncton Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) agree that the sports and entertainment centre will have a positive impact on the city’s downtown core. Meanwhile, one in seven (15%) residents disagree, two percent neither agree nor disagree, and one percent do not know or do not offer an opinion on the matter.
“With Moncton’s new downtown sports and entertainment complex nearing completion, the vast majority of those living in the Greater Moncton Area are clearly anticipating a positive impact on the city’s downtown core,” said Don Mills, Chairman and CEO of Corporate Research Associates Inc.
These results are part of the CRA Urban Report, an independent telephone survey of 400 Moncton (Census Metropolitan Area [CMA]) adult residents, 18 years of age or older, conducted from April 19 to May 4, 2017. Overall results are accurate to within ±4.9 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
