Guardian Poll indicates Robert Ghiz’s Government will be Returned to Office

A poll commissioned by The Guardian newspaper suggests Prince Edward Island voters will return the Liberal Party to power with an overwhelming majority in the Monday, Oct. 3, election.  A seat projection carried out by Corporate Research Associates in conjunction with the poll suggests the provincial legislature will look much the same as it did after the May 2007 provincial election. The Liberal Party will pick up 23 to 24 seats, leaving the Progressive Conservative Party with three to four seats, almost exclusively in Kings County.

This study was conducted by Corporate Research Associates on behalf of  The Guardian on a sample of 700 Prince Edward Islanders (18 years plus) conducted from September 23 to September 27, 2011, with overall results accurate to within ±3.7 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
