HALIFAX, NS May 11, 2016: Consumer confidence in Fredericton rebounds after a sharp decline last quarter, according to the most recent Urban Report Survey conducted by Corporate Research Associates Inc. (CRA). Specifically, consumer confidence among Fredericton residents currently rests at 96.2 (up from 83.6 three months ago).
Meanwhile, two-thirds of Fredericton residents (67%, down from 75% three months ago) are satisfied with the performance of the Council under Mayor Brad Woodside’s leadership.
Mayor Woodside, who was offering for a ninth-term as mayor of Fredericton, was defeated in Monday’s municipal election by Mike O’Brien. CRA will assess residents’ satisfaction with the performance of the newly elected Fredericton Council under the leadership of mayor-elect O’Brien in July 2016.
